Siemens Wind Power supplied the wind turbines for the Walney offshore wind farm projects under a supply contract concluded with DONG Energy in March 2009. Walney II (Walney 2) comprised 51 turbines rated at 3.6MW each as the second phase of the Walney development in the Irish Sea off Cumbria, UK.
