On 21 September 2012, Ernst & Young LLP completed and submitted to the Office of the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority (Ofgem) an Ex Post Financial Cost Review of the Walney 2 Offshore Transmission Assets, which connect the Walney 2 offshore wind farm to the 132 kV Stanah onshore substation. Commissioned under an Ofgem contract task order dated 28 October 2011, the review examined the developer’s cash flow schedule and supporting accounting records to substantiate the capital and development costs of the transmission assets as part of Ofgem’s regulatory cost assessment process.
