Planning permission for the onshore electrical substation at Stanah, Lancashire, designed to accommodate the Phase 2 (290–400 MW) power output of the Walney offshore wind farm (Walney 2), was granted in February 2008 following an EIA managed by RSK and submission of an environmental statement and related planning documents under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
