Description
In 2017, RES (Renewable Energy Systems) was awarded a 15‑year operations and maintenance contract by Blue Transmission Walney 2 Limited (BTW2L) for the Walney 2 offshore transmission asset. The long-term O&M agreement covers the OFTO infrastructure, including the offshore substation and associated 132 kV export cable system transmitting power from the Walney II wind farm to the onshore grid. RES’ scope includes planned and unplanned maintenance, 24/7 control room services, rapid response to faults, and provision of offshore logistics, supporting the operational reliability and availability of the Walney 2 OFTO over its regulated revenue period.
