After export cable installation at Walney 2, the developer commissioned and completed an independent post cable installation survey of the Walney 2 transmission assets. The survey assessed whether the subsea export cable had been buried appropriately and provided assurance on potential remedial needs for the incoming OFTO; Ofgem accepted the rationale for this additional survey and included its full £1.1 million cost in the assessed transfer value for the Walney 2 transmission assets.
