Description
FORCE Technology provided consultancy and quality assurance services to DONG Energy for the selection and manufacturing of wind turbine foundations for Walney 1 (and Walney 2). The scope included auditing potential foundation suppliers, advising on supplier selection, and acting as building consultant during foundation manufacturing, with activities such as welding and coating inspection and ongoing production evaluations. FORCE Technology also provided building consultancy applying to the full steel structure for the Walney 1 offshore substation where turbine power is collected and transmitted to shore.
