Ofgem’s July 2009 Preliminary Information Memorandum for the Walney I Offshore Transmission Assets stated that construction work on the Walney I Transmission Assets, owned and to be constructed by DONG Walney (UK) Ltd to connect the wind farm to National Grid’s 400/132kV Heysham substation, was expected to begin in July 2010 following the start of overall wind farm construction in April 2010.
