Following a competitive tender, DONG Energy awarded SSE a turnkey contract in August 2016 for the decommissioning of the Vindeby Offshore Wind Farm, with SSE leading turbine, foundation and cable removal and engaging subcontractors BMS (lifting), Connected Wind (turbine works) and Barslund (foundation decommissioning).
