N‑Sea

N‑Sea was awarded a UXO clearance contract for the Viking Link project by National Grid. The estimated contract value was around €6 million. The campaign comprised an initial geophysical detection phase using seismic sonar, multibeam echo sounder and gradiometer surveys (N‑Sea mobilised the Noordhoek Pathfinder and MagSense detection frame), followed by identification and on‑site remediation (identification and controlled detonation) of any UXO items encountered along the proposed cable route. The work supported safe cable installation and was executed in coordination with the Viking Link project team and stakeholders.
