National Grid Viking Link Limited was granted an electricity transmission licence on 12 November 2014. The licence conferred statutory transmission powers (including compulsory acquisition powers under Schedule 3 of the Electricity Act 1989) and enabled the developer to progress land access, construction and formal connection arrangements for the Viking Link interconnector between Bicker Fen (UK) and Revsing (Denmark).
