The developers completed the offshore seabed investigation campaign in 2016, concluding the geophysical investigations that informed the selection of the submarine cable route between Denmark and the UK. The completed programme provided seabed mapping and sub‑surface data used for route optimisation, environmental assessment and later engineering design.
