In April 2023, the Danish portion of the Viking Link interconnector received all seven of its Siemens Energy transformers, marking the delivery of major converter-station equipment to the Denmark site. The 225-tonne transformers were shipped from Rotterdam and transported via the Port of Esbjerg to the project location at Vejen/Revsing in southern Jutland. This logistics operation, managed by Bertling Logistics, provided the key high-voltage transformer units required for the Danish converter station, representing a significant construction milestone for the onshore infrastructure of Viking Link in Denmark.
