The final submarine section of the Viking Link cable was laid and assembled on 13 July 2023, completing the physical subsea connection between the UK and Denmark. Prysmian reported that the last mid‑sea assembly closed the link; subsequent post‑installation surveys and HV end‑to‑end testing followed, and Prysmian later confirmed completion of installation and HV testing for the full 1,400 km cable system.
