In January 2024, Vattenfall announced the completion of Vesterhav Syd after all turbines were generating and connected to the Danish power grid, indicating that the Vesterhav Syd export cable connection from the offshore wind farm via the onshore collection point at Søndervig to the 150kV substation at Stovtrup had entered full commercial operation.
