Statnett

Statnett was identified as the transmission system operator supporting grid connection planning for the Vestavind F offshore wind area (including the already opened Utsira Nord area). The sources stated that Statnett planned onshore transmission reinforcements in the Haugalandet/Rogaland area (including a new line between Blåfalli and a new Gismarvik transmission substation) to increase capacity for new generation and that Statnett followed up developers/consortia on grid-connection interfaces, power system functional requirements, and sharing of relevant information about Statnett’s assets as part of the offshore wind area allocation and maturation process.
