In 2019, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (through its CI‑II fund), Highland Group Holdings and Siemens Financial Services sold a combined 80% equity stake in the operational 402 MW Veja Mate offshore wind farm to a European investor consortium. The buying consortium comprised Commerz Real, Ingka Group, wpd invest, KGAL and ALH Group. Voltiq (via its predecessor Amsterdam Capital Partners) acted as exclusive financial advisor to one of the consortium members. The transaction transferred majority ownership of Veja Mate, while Siemens Financial Services retained a 20% stake and CI‑II remained a lender to the project. Voltiq reports that, together with associated debt financing, the total transaction volume amounted to approximately €2.3 billion. Following completion, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy continued to provide technical assistance under a full‑service agreement, and the new owners benefited from the project’s established production profile and long‑term revenue outlook.
