Foundation installation for the Veja Mate Offshore Wind Farm was completed on 27 October 2016. Offshore Windforce VM, a Boskalis‑led joint venture, installed all 67 monopile foundations in the German North Sea using the jack‑up vessel Seajacks Scylla for monopile installation and Zaratan for transition piece installation. The foundations are among the heaviest monopiles in the sector, with individual weights up to about 1,300 t and lengths up to 85 m. Boskalis reports that the full foundation EPCI scope, including design, fabrication, transport and installation, was finished in 2016, with the punch list closed in December 2016, enabling subsequent energisation of the offshore substation, inter‑array cable installation and turbine erection.
