In September 2018, Seaway Offshore Cables engaged Correll Services to carry out jumper cable installation works on the operational Veja Mate offshore wind farm’s inter-array system. Working on a grid comprising 73 array subsea cables, Correll Services supplied two high-voltage jointer/tester specialists along with engineering support, HV tooling and test equipment. The team completed 12 sets of high-voltage terminations on the jumper cable and conducted 5 kV insulation resistance testing after installation to verify integrity. Correll Services also compiled and issued inspection and test plan (ITP) documentation to the client, formally recording the work and test outcomes. These activities represent a targeted subsea cable intervention on the project’s inter-array network during its operational phase, supporting continued reliable power export from the 67 turbines in the German North Sea.
