In 2022, Hexicon selected Mingyang Smart Energy as the preferred turbine supplier for its 32 MW TwinHub floating offshore wind project in the UK, marking a key supply-chain decision for the development. The selection was made in the same year the project secured a Contract for Difference (CfD) in the UK’s AR4 round and as Hexicon began offshore site investigations and appointed London Marine Consultants as Principal Designer.
