On announcing Trollvind, Equinor and the Troll/Oseberg licence partners initiated feasibility and concept studies to assess a ~1 GW floating wind farm’s ability to deliver around 4.3 TWh per year to electrify the Troll and Oseberg fields and supply the Bergen grid, with the work aimed at supporting a potential investment decision in 2023 and a planned start-up in 2027.
