Skanska was contracted by Equinor as part of the Troll West electrification (Troll B and C) project to deliver the onshore civil works and cable route infrastructure at Kollsnes, west of Bergen. The scope covers construction of a new transformer substation, installation of onshore power cables between the substation and the coastline, and the associated civil works including excavation, cable trenches, culverts, and a drilled landfall prepared for the offshore export cables. These works form the onshore interface between the Norwegian grid and the subsea HVAC cable system supplying power to the Troll B and Troll C platforms. The contract, valued at about NOK 390 million, is executed by Skanska’s construction division in Bergen and is coordinated with parallel electrification works for the nearby Oseberg field.
