Siemens Energy received a contract from Aker Solutions to supply the main electrical transmission and distribution equipment and the power management system for the Troll West electrification project. The scope includes providing switchgears, transformers and reactors, along with associated systems that enable power transmission from the Kollsnes onshore grid connection to the Troll B and Troll C platforms. These deliveries cover equipment for both the offshore installations and the onshore electrical facilities, including the new electro building at Kollsnes, forming a critical part of the substation and grid interface. Siemens Energy’s package enables bi-directional power flow and stable operation of the electrified platforms when supplied from shore.
