Energinet (Denmark) and Elia Group (Belgium) are identified as the transmission system operators jointly behind the TritonLink project, a hybrid interconnector between Denmark and Belgium that will transfer offshore wind energy via two artificial energy islands over almost 1,000 kilometres between onshore HVDC converter stations in the two countries, positioning the partners for an interconnected offshore grid in the North Sea and future sustainable offshore energy projects.
