Description
EDS High Voltage Limited provides high-voltage operations and maintenance services for the Triton Knoll OFTO transmission assets on behalf of Triton Knoll OFTO Limited. Its scope covers the operational management, maintenance and availability of the offshore transmission system, including two offshore 66/220 kV substations, the 220 kV subsea export cable circuits (around 50 km route length each), the onshore 220 kV cable circuits (around 57 km route length each), and the onshore substation and associated 400 kV export connections to National Grid’s Bicker Fen substation. As the HV specialist operator, EDS supports the OFTO’s obligation to deliver high availability of the transmission network, undertaking switching, fault response and condition-based maintenance throughout the operational life of the asset.
