On 21 April 2021, Ofgem published the Enhanced Pre-Qualification (EPQ) shortlist for Tender Round 7, confirming that three bidding groups – Diamond Transmission Partners, the Equitix TEPCO Consortium, and Transmission Capital Partners – had been shortlisted to compete for the Triton Knoll offshore transmission link. Ofgem stated that these bidders would proceed to the Invitation to Tender stage, under which the successful OFTO would receive a regulated, availability-based revenue stream for operating the Triton Knoll transmission assets.
