An environmental compatibility study for Parc Tramuntana, based on two years of detailed marine studies to support the project’s environmental impact assessment, concluded that the project’s effects on turbidity and sedimentation, underwater noise, hydrodynamic circulation and electromagnetic fields are objectively rated as MODERATE, and NOT SIGNIFICANT for the proliferation of invasive exotic species, thereby mapping key environmental constraints for the offshore site in Catalan waters.
