In December 2025, the CRU published its PR6 Final Determination, establishing a new offshore regulatory framework and revenue allowances for EirGrid for 2026–2030. This decision underpins EirGrid’s ability to advance its offshore transmission programme, including the Powering Up Offshore – South Coast initiative and the Tonn Nua (Maritime Area A) grid connection, by providing regulatory certainty and performance incentives for delivering offshore grid infrastructure.
