On 30 October 2024, Ireland’s Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment (DECC) published the ORESS Tonn Nua auction Terms and Conditions. These terms govern the Offshore Renewable Electricity Support Scheme (ORESS) competition for Tonn Nua and establish the requirement that the successful bidder submit an ORESS Tonn Nua Notice of Award to EirGrid within three months in order to receive a grid connection offer for the Tonn Nua offshore wind facility and associated transmission connection.
