On 23 November 2023, the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security’s Technical Commission PNRR–PNIEC issued Scoping Opinion No. 40 on the preliminary project for the 975 MW Olbia–Tibula offshore wind farm (Tibula Energia), comprising 65 turbines off the coast between Olbia and Siniscola in Sardinia. The opinion, part of the PNIEC–PNRR fast‑track procedure for defining the contents of the future Environmental Impact Assessment (Definizione contenuti SIA), concluded positively with prescriptions and recommendations, and the outcome was later formally communicated to the project proponent Tibula Energia S.r.l.
