Description
Hellenic Cables, as part of a joint venture/consortium with Jan De Nul Group, was selected by RWE to deliver the Thor offshore wind farm cable package that includes the 275 kV HVAC export cable system for the Thor grid connection. Hellenic Cables was responsible for the design and manufacture of the cables, including two 275 kV export cables (reported as 60 km total export cable supply on a 30 km route to shore) and approximately 200 km of 66 kV inter-array cables; the JV scope also included onshore cable sections from the landfall to the onshore substation.
