James Fisher Renewables, through its high-voltage specialist EDS HV Group (EDS), won long-term contracts to provide enhanced operations and maintenance services for the Thanet OFTO transmission assets on behalf of the Balfour Beatty Equitix Consortium (BBEC). The scope included maintenance of high-voltage transmission assets under HV safety rules and associated inspections (including corrosion inspections), with provisions covering systems such as HVAC, fire suppression and lifesaving equipment, and the use of remote condition monitoring tools to support asset management.
