The European Investment Bank signed a loan agreement with Vattenfall AB to finance the 300 MW Thanet Offshore Wind Farm, providing approximately €171.8 million as part of a wider project cost of about GBP 900 million for the design, construction and operation of the wind farm in UK waters. This development bank financing supports the UK’s renewable energy targets by backing the completed offshore project’s long-term capital structure.
