Ofgem granted an offshore transmission licence to Thanet OFTO Limited (wholly owned by Balfour Beatty Investments Limited) on 17 December 2014 for the Thanet offshore wind farm transmission assets. The transfer value was GBP 164 million. Thanet was the ninth and final OFTO to reach financial close and licence grant under Ofgem's tender round one.
