On 17 December 2014, Thanet OFTO Limited completed the acquisition of the Thanet offshore transmission system, funded using senior secured loans and subordinated debt, coinciding with the award of its Offshore Electricity Transmission Licence and marking financial close on the OFTO transaction at a total acquisition cost of £178.954 million.
