Turnkey transport/installation scope included hook-up and inter-array (dynamic power) cable installation at METCentre; power cable laid and connected by Bourbon Subsea Services.
Bourbon Subsea Services was awarded a turnkey contract by TetraSpar Demonstrator ApS to manage transportation and installation of the 3.6 MW TetraSpar Demonstrator floating wind turbine prototype from the assembly port in Grenaa, Denmark to the METCentre test site in Norway. The scope included project management, engineering, installation and offshore execution through hook-up, including inter-array cable installation. Bourbon later reported completing offshore installation at METCentre by laying and connecting the power cable after earlier mooring line installation, towing and hook-up activities.
