SH Netz (E.ON) laid 15 km, 800-tonne 110 kV submarine cable from mainland to Sylt using cable plow 'Nessie' through the Wadden Sea.
After all construction and nature conservation permits had been granted, Paasch Rohrleitungsbau began onshore works in the Keitum district on the island of Sylt in early summer 2019. Commissioned by Christophers for Schleswig-Holstein Netz AG, Paasch started trenchless installation of protective ducts and power routes on the island to connect the new 15 km, 110 kV submarine cable from the mainland to the Keitum substation.
