In March 2023, offshore service company Argeo announced it had been awarded a contract by the Stromar consortium of Ørsted, Renantis and BlueFloat Energy to perform a geophysical survey of the 256km² Stromar development area in the Moray Firth, off the coast of Caithness. Using its low-emission uncrewed surface vessel Argeo Argus, the geophysical and optional export cable route survey campaign was scheduled to start in the third quarter of 2023, subject to relevant permit approvals.
