By March 2006, the sediment sampling campaign at Stora Middelgrund and along the planned land cable route was completed, and the samples were analysed for heavy metals, hydrocarbons, PAHs and organotin compounds, showing no or only minor contamination according to Swedish deviation classes for polluted sediments.
