On 20 October 2023, Spiorad na Mara issued its Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) scoping report for the offshore wind project off the Isle of Lewis, initiating formal scoping consultation with stakeholders and statutory consultees on the topics and methods to be assessed for both offshore and onshore elements of the scheme, while also confirming an increased potential capacity of around 900MW.
