On 19 August 2024, Spiorad na Mara committed to establishing a Community Benefit Fund of £4.5 million per year, index-linked, for the full operational lifetime of the proposed offshore wind farm (estimated at about 35 years from a projected 2031 start), with the fund to be designed through extensive consultation with west Lewis communities and administered by an independent company.
