For 2026, EirGrid has scheduled additional geotechnical surveys within Maritime Area A (Tonn Nua) as part of the ongoing marine survey programme for the Powering Up Offshore – South Coast project. These investigations will complement earlier geophysical work by providing soil and ground information needed for detailed design of offshore substations and export cable installation.
