Description
Axess Technologies secured a contract from Prysmian related to RWE’s Sofia Offshore Wind Farm HVDC export cable system. Axess’ scope included a mock-up trial and pull-in of the two HVDC export cables into the offshore converter platform, plus support for cable termination and testing. Axess also supplied and installed material handling equipment for the mock-up trial at the offshore platform fabrication yard in Batam, Indonesia, and planned to provide UK-based execution support in logistics, procurement and local manpower supply, with HSE compliance oversight.
