Concurrently with the start of export cable geophysical surveys in February 2020, Sofia commenced a wider offshore site investigation campaign along the export corridor, including environmental grab samples, drop‑down video transects, sub‑bottom seismic profiling, side‑scan sonar, bathymetry and magnetometer surveys to characterise seabed and sub‑seafloor conditions for consent and engineering work.
