On 24 March 2021, RWE took the Final Investment Decision on its 1.4 GW Sofia Offshore Wind Farm, committing approximately £3 billion of investment and enabling the project to move into the construction phase with onshore works starting in Spring 2021 and offshore construction in 2023, targeting final completion by late 2026.
