Description
Sembcorp Marine, in a consortium with GE Renewable Energy’s Grid Solutions, was contracted by RWE for Sofia’s HVDC transmission system. Within the consortium scope, Sembcorp Marine was to build and install the offshore converter platform, described as a large topside attached to a jacket foundation piled into the seabed, as part of the HVDC offshore transmission assets.
