For the Skagerrak 4 HVDC interconnector between Norway and Denmark, Nexans acted as the main cable supplier for a significant portion of the transmission route. The company delivered a 137-kilometre subsea cable together with a 12-kilometre Norwegian land cable, providing the complete cable system for the Norwegian side and the submarine section of the link. This scope, reported in March 2015 alongside other principal suppliers such as Prysmian and ABB, confirms Nexans’ role as the selected cable supplier for these cable sections of Skagerrak 4.
