BioApp produced supporting environmental/fisheries documentation for Statnett’s reinvestment/permitting process for the Skagerrak 1 & 2 HVDC interconnector between Norway and Denmark. On Statnett’s project page for “Skagerrak 1 og 2”, BioApp is explicitly credited as the author of an attached report titled “Vedlegg 2 - Fiskeriinteresser ved kabletrace mellem Danmark og Norge, BioApp 2024”. The document is presented as an appendix to Statnett’s notification (“melding”) submitted to the Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate (NVE) in September 2024 for assessment and public consultation. The report topic—fisheries interests along the cable route between Denmark and Norway—indicates BioApp’s scope related to environmental and stakeholder considerations associated with the subsea cable corridor, supporting the impact assessment work required by the NVE set investigation programme. BioApp’s deliverable formed part of the project’s formal documentation package under “Relevante dokumenter og vedlegg” on the Statnett website, alongside mapping appendices and consultation materials, and was used to inform the reinvestment case for the ageing Skagerrak 1 and 2 links.
