On 22 August 2022 NVE granted Statnett anleggskonsesjon and expropriation permission to build and operate two new 300 (420) kV submarine cables over Fensfjorden between Mongstad and Iledalsvågen as part of the Haugsvær–Lindås connection, doubling transmission capacity in the area.
