Crown Estate Scotland has opened a public consultation on a proposed adjustment to the boundary of the Sinclair Offshore Wind Farm site under the INTOG leasing process. The document explains that Sinclair’s original INTOG application indicated a potential future request to move the site boundary to the south-east, in order to close the approximately 5 km gap between Sinclair and the neighbouring Scaraben site, if Scaraben were also successful and granted permission. Crown Estate Scotland now states that it intends to permit this boundary adjustment and is formally inviting observations from interested parties on the proposed change. Stakeholders and members of the public are asked to submit any observations regarding the boundary change by no later than 26 April 2024. Responses can be sent either by post to the Development Manager at Crown Estate Scotland’s Edinburgh office or by email to the organisation’s marine address. This notice constitutes an open consultation window focused specifically on the spatial adjustment of the Sinclair site boundary, rather than on the overall project consent. Feedback received by the stated deadline will inform Crown Estate Scotland’s consideration of whether, and on what basis, to confirm the adjustment to Sinclair’s site boundary within the INTOG leasing framework.
