Conference materials from the May 2023 INTOG event in Aberdeen show BlueFloat Energy and Renantis setting out an indicative delivery timetable for their Scottish floating offshore wind innovation portfolio, which includes the Sinclair & Scaraben INTOG sites. The slide deck notes that work is actively progressing on Sinclair & Scaraben, highlighting ground investigation works and floating LiDAR deployment, grid connection offers under review, ongoing bird surveys scheduled to complete by Q2 2024, and supply-chain engagement to develop innovative technology offerings. This establishes Sinclair & Scaraben as part of an integrated development pipeline under the BlueFloat Energy | Renantis partnership. Within the same presentation, an overall timeline for these innovation projects is presented, marked as indicative and explicitly identifying an “Expected Final Investment Decision (FID)” window in the period 2026–2028, alongside an expected Commercial Operation Date (COD) window of 2027–2031. Earlier milestones on the same graphic include bid submission, award of an exclusivity agreement to develop the first floating project, and subsequent signing of an option agreement. Taken together, these slides indicate that FID for the Sinclair INTOG project (developed together with Scaraben within the BlueFloat–Renantis innovation portfolio) is planned for the later 2020s, with 2026–2028 given as the working target window rather than a fixed date, and all timing explicitly flagged as subject to further refinement as development progresses.
